RMZ- Meadows Album review by Samantha J. Allen 

RMZ continues to evolve his music, and this new album is proof. His lyrics will have you swimming in a sea of emotions, and by the end of the album you will have learned something about your heart. This album is a journey through the experience of love; from misunderstanding and illusion to longing and hope. If I had to choose one word to describe the feel of this album, I would choose “soulful.” In true RMZ fashion, the words and music, speak in each track to the heart, and right into the soul of you as you listen, as if you are the artist, and the words are those of your own journey of love. 

In the title track, “Meadows,” you’ll begin this musical journey with a feeling of a love that you want, but for someone that can’t truly see you yet. Its message is beautiful and reminds you  that when you stop searching, love will find you. 

“Love & Lies” takes you to a place of that love you’ve only felt in the shadows, too afraid to bring it to the light of day…and now there is regret in the heartbreak. 

“Fall away” is the point of the journey of love that you just want to let go…to fall…and let it consume you entirely. 

“Marks” will bring you to the gone but not forgotten pangs of heartache, begging you simultaneously to leave it in the past but to allow your heart to feel again. 

“Simply You” is a daydream within a dream. The music and lyrics combine to create a journey through the perfect morning with your love…those still moments of warmth and intimacy before the morning hours give way to the cares of life. 

“Morning Light” is a beautiful and timely reminder that you do have it in you to reach your dreams, if you dare to believe that you do. 

“Firefly” is reflective of nights spent awake, wondering if the one you love is awake, well, and maybe thinking of you too. 

“The Deeper We Dive, The Shallower It Gets” brings you to the place of loving someone that is not ready to move past the surface, and the frustrations that brings. 

The journey of this album ends with “Night in Song.” This song will leave you waiting for the follow-up album to find out if your love will be honest and true and allow themselves to love you as you have loved them this whole time. 

This album is great for anyone going through any stage of love, and will ignite a spark within you to feel some big feels. Grab a glass of wine, your earbuds, and sink in!
